Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Diseases, Impact of Medical Education, Program Evaluation
 

Dr. Phyllis Supino is Associate Research Professor of Public Health in Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor of Public Health at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She is a member of the Division of Outcomes and Effectiveness Research in the Department of Public Health and is Director of Data Management, Epidemiology and Educational Programs in the Division of Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, Department of Medicine at Weill Medical College. She also directs the Cornell Clinical Research Methodology Survey Course, designed for physicians, medical students and other members of the Weill Cornell medical community who wish to enhance their research skills.


Dr. Supino's research interests focus on the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, the impact of medical education and program evaluation. Her current research projects include Valvular Heart Disease Outcomes Among Hospitalized Patients in New York State, The Relation of Temporal Patterns in Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction and Size to Adverse Cardiac Outcomes in Patients with Chronic Severe Aortic Regurgitation (AR), and the Impact of Systolic Hypertension and AntiHypertensive Drugs on Clinical Outcomes in Patients with AR.
