John, Majnu
Majnu John completed his doctorate in Statistics from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University in 2005. After completing his doctorate, he spent two years working as a biostatistician in the clinical trials unit within the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and then later as research biostatistician at the Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia, before joining Weill Cornell. He is currently a faculty at the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the Department of Public Health, and spends a substantial amount of time collaborating with researchers in the Department of Radiology and at the Robotic Prostatectomy group in the Department of Urology lead by Dr. Ashutosh Tewari. He has methodological experience in nonparametric two-sample tests, multiple testing and nonparametric regression to the mean. Drawing from this background, he devotes a small percentage of time developing novel statistical methodologies that address problems arising from clinical research.
