Dr. April is a nationally and internationally recognized pediatric otolaryngologist. He and Dr. Ward have joined our faculty to build a pediatric otolaryngology division. Dr. April's areas of clinical interest include the management of pediatric sinus disorders, sinus surgery in patients with cystic fibrosis, choanal atresia and neck masses in children. In addition, he is involved with the treatment of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea and was one of the first pediatric otolaryngologists to perform partial or intracapsular tonsillectomies. He has been the chairman of the Pediatric committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery since 2002. 29. He is presently the Chairman of the Pediatric Otolaryngology Committee for the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He has been voted as one of the "Best Doctors" in New York Magazine since 1998 and in the book "How to find the best doctors in New York metro area" since 1995. He also has been voted into the book "America's top doctors" since 2002.
