The cardiac MRI program at NY Hospital - Cornell is currently initiating several research studies designed to investigate the role of cardiac MRI for identifying cardiac damage in high risk patients without clinical evidence of coronary artery disease and develop novel means of MRI based risk stratification for patients with advanced heart failure.

The nuclear cardiology laboratory is conducting ongoing studies investigating correlations between exercise ECG and SPECT perfusion abnormalities as well as other studies examining the comparative diagnostic utility of different SPECT image display formats for identification of coronary artery disease. The laboratory also participates in several multicenter studies employing nuclear SPECT imaging.
