Research Overview
Dr. Peterson has extensive experience in clinical trials in the peri-operative, inpatient and outpatient settings. She has been involved in 13 NIH funded clinical trials, and numerous foundation-funded studies studying clinical and psychosocial outcomes across a wide variety of medical and surgical populations. She has overseen the recruitment of over 2,500 patients into prospective clinical trials, with a longitudinal follow-up rate of 95 percent. Her clinical expertise is focused in chronic disease and cardiovascular disease populations, with an interest in long term outcomes.
