Gunning-Dixon, Faith
                                           

 

Dr. Gunning-Dixon is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell and a Research Neuropsychologist at the ACISIR. She completed an NIMH T32 research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania during which she used structural and functional MRI to investigate the cognitive neuroscience of normal aging and aging-related psychiatric illnesses. Since joining Weill Cornell?s ACISR in 2004, she has combined her training as a clinical neuropsychologist with her expertise in the cognitive neuroscience of aging to conduct research studies using neuroimaging to elucidate the pathophysiology of late-life depression. Her studies entail using both structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging to examine the neurobiology of cognitive and affective dysfunction in older depressed patients. Dr. Gunning-Dixon holds a NIMH K23 Career Development Award entitled "Anterior Cingulate Activation in Late-Life Depression".
