Dr. Ballon is the Founding Director of the Citigroup Biomedical Imaging Center at Weill Cornell Medical College. The Imaging Center houses the Biomedical Imaging Core facilities for the College, and is charged with the development of cutting-edge imaging techniques for translational and clinical imaging research. Dr. Ballon is also a charter member of the Steering Committee of the Institute for Biomedical Imaging Science, which is a tri-institutional research institute of Weill Cornell Medical College, The Methodist Hospital Research Institute, and The University of Houston. He also serves on the Institutional Review Board of The New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College. He holds faculty appointments in the Departments of Radiology and Physiology, Biophysics, and Systems Biology at Weill Cornell Medical College, and the Departments of Medical Physics and Radiology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He currently serves as Chief of the Division of Research in the Department of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
