Biography
Dr. Murphy, Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry, received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Washington University with specialization in neuropsychology and aging. He completed his clinical internship at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospital. He joined the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry Center as an NRSA Fellow under the mentorship of its director, George S. Alexopoulos, MD. In 2003, Dr. Murphy was awarded a NIMH K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented Career Development Award, entitled Cognition and Treatment Outcomes in Geriatric Depression.
