Since 2003, I have been working with GHESKIO in Haiti, where my research activities have focused on collaborations to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of rapid syphilis screening in prenatal HIV testing programs and the cost of providing antiretroviral therapy for HIV. I also work with GHESKIO investigators who are conducting clinical trials of HIV treatments and vaccines. I teach and mentor Haitian students in a two-week MPH course on health services research and cost-effectiveness analysis. The MPH program is run as a collaboration between Quisqueya University in Port-au-Prince, GHESKIO, and WCMC. I spend approximately 1-2 weeks in Haiti each year.
