Global Health
My laboratory works on the connection between chronic inflammation and cancer with an emphasis on prostaglandin biology. Studies have extended from the laboratory bench to bedside and included multiple organ sites. In this process, I have been involved in training fellows from several countries including India. In my capacity as Director of the Weill Cornell Cancer Center, we are attempting to increase our interactions with Centers in other countries. For example, active efforts are underway to expand our interaction with a new Cancer Center in India. This could provide an excellent opportunity for student electives abroad with significant public health implications.
