The Lorraine and Ralph Lubin Distinguished Visiting Professorship

The Lorraine and Ralph Lubin Visiting Professorship in Public Health was established by a gift from Dr. Madelon Finkel, Professor of Clinical Public Health, in memory of her parents. Funds from the professorship support an annual lecture by a prominent speaker on significant public health policy issues.
Following are previous Visiting Professors:
2009 — Dr. Stephanie Joan Woolhandler, Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School; Co-founder of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP)
2008 — Dr. Shoshanna Sofaer, the Robert P. Luciano Professor of Health Care Policy, School of Public Affairs, Baruch College, City University of New York
2006 — Dr. Mark Chassin, Professor of Health Policy and founding Chairman, Department of Health Policy, Mount Sinai School of Medicine
2005 — Dr. Jo Ivey Boufford, currently Professor of Public Service, Health Policy and Management at the Wagner School of New York University and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine
2004 — Dr. Bruce Vladeck, currently Interim President of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
2003 — Dr. Karen Davis, President, The Commonwealth Fund
2002 — Dr. Thomas Frieden, Commissioner, New York City Department of Health
