Hassan Ghomrawi, Ph.D., M.P.H., Instructor in Public Health, specializes in health economics and health outcomes research, with particular interests in the field of orthopedics and post-acute rehabilitation care. He is currently a co-investigator on the Weill Cornell Centers for Education and Research on Therapeutics (CERT), which is evaluating outcomes in orthopedic and medical devices in collaboration with researchers at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) .

He is specifically involved in the implementation of the new total joint replacement registry, a joint effort by HSS and Weill Cornell Medical College which is funded in part by the CERT grant.

Examples of the projects he is currently involved in include: evaluating the effects of patient expectations of recovery on outcomes of total joint replacement patients, and designing and evaluating instruments that measure functional disability related to orthopedic surgery.
