Midtown Center for Treatment and Research
The Midtown Center is a comprehensive not-for-profit outpatient program for the evaluation and treatment of chemically dependent individuals and their significant others. The program is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) as a Medically Supervised Ambulatory Substance Abuse Treatment Program.
As a program of Cornell University's Weill Medical College, a world-renowned academic and research institution, staff take part in and are exposed to cutting-edge research exploring the mechanisms and treatment of substance abuse. The clinical team members reflect rich and diverse academic backgrounds from the fields of medicine, psychology and social work with special interest and certification in the field of alcoholism and substance abuse.
Services
Every effort will be made to schedule an initial consultation within twenty-four hours of the referral date. Intake and Treatment Evaluation includes one intake evaluation session, a medical evaluation by a member of Midtown Center's medical staff and a urine toxicology screen. If appropriate, a psychiatric evaluation is also completed. All patients are expected to participate in the Intake and Treatment Evaluation that will culminate in an individualized treatment plan and will include any combination of the following services:

Financial Information
Insurance plans that are accepted include Medicaid, private insurance, some HMOs and managed care organizations, and self-payment. The Midtown Center also offers a sliding scale arrangement for qualifying clients.
