Welcome New Fellows and Residents

Rituparna Pati, MD, MPH, is a Resident in General Preventive Medicine.Dr. Pati is a Clinical Fellow in the Division of International Medicine and Infectious Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Previously, she was a Resident in Medicine at NYPH and a Clinical Associate in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, and then a Clinical Instructor in Medicine at New York University School of Medicine and an Attending Physician at Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Pati received her BA degree from Yale University, her MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and her MPH from the University of Connecticut Graduate School of Public Health. She is a member of the International AIDS Society; Physicians for Human Rights, for which she was the Student Chapter Co-Founder; and the International Health Medical Education Consortium. She is working on research projects under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Schackman, Chief of the Division of Health Policy in the Department of Public Health, and Dr. Roy M. Gulick, Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine.

Brandon Aden, MD, MPH, is an Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program (ECRIP) Fellow, working on a project titled “Early Detection and Treatment of Acute Hepatitis C Virus Infection in High-Risk Persons.” Dr. Aden completed one year of this program as a Fellow in the Department of Medicine, under the mentorship of Dr. Brian Edlin. For his second year of the program he is working in the Department of Public Health, with Dr. Ann Beeder as his mentor. As part of his Fellowship, he participates in patient care in the clinics and practices of the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is also an Assistant Attending Physician at Gouverneur Hospital in New York City. Dr. Aden received his MD degree from the University of Nebraska Medical College and his MPH from Columbia University. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Downtown Hospital and a Public Health/Preventive Medicine Residency at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He is board certified in both specialties.
