Getting Started with WCMC Talk
Get an Account
WCMC Talk is available free of charge to all students, faculty, and staff of the Medical College with a CWID (CenterWide Indentifier).
A CWID is the part of a "med.cornell.edu" e-mail address that precedes the "@" symbol.

Download and Install Spark
Spark is a cross-platform IM client that provides full compatability with the features of WCMC Talk. Spark is the officially supported and distributed client by ITS, and is recommended for all users.
Download Spark for Mac (Mac OS 10.4 or better)
Download Spark for Windows (Windows XP/Vista)
Decompress and install Spark:
On Mac OS X:
- Double click the disk image to mount it.
- Drag the Spark application to your Applications folder.
On Windows:
- Save the Spark installer to the Windows Desktop.
- Double click the Spark installer ".exe" file on the Desktop.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
