Connecting To WCMC Talk with Spark

Spark is a cross-platform IM client that provides full compatability with the features of WCMC Talk. Spark is the officially supported and distributed client by ITS, and is recommended for all users.

  1. Download and install Spark.
  2. Launch Spark by clicking on the program icon.
  3. The login window prompts you for three pieces of information. Type your CWID into the Username field. Enter your LDAP or email password into the Password field. In the Server field, type "med.cornell.edu".
  4. If you wish to not have to retype your password every time you launch Spark, you can check the "Save Password" box. If you wish to automatically log in every time you launch Spark, check the "Auto Login" box.
  5. Finally, click the Login button in the lower right of the window.
