About WCMC Talk
WCMC Talk is a service providing instant messaging (IM) between Medical College staff, faculty, and students. The service provides the same quick communication as traditional instant messaging networks, tailored specifically for the WCMC community. Features include:
- Fully encrypted and secure communications, whether you are inside or outside the college network.
- Easy to understand screen names - your login is your CWID, and your screen name is your email address.
- All the functionality of traditional instant messaging services, including file transfer, conference rooms, and away messages.
- Offline messaging support, so that every message gets delivered.
- Privacy controls to prevent unwanted interruptions.
- Based on open standards, allowing for better interoperability and support for a wide variety of platforms.
WCMC Talk is available to all students, faculty, and staff of Weill Cornell Medical College with a CWID.
