ITS Remote Access (ITSRA) permits ITS--supported medical college staff, faculty, and students to connect off-site computers to the Medical College network. Most WMC network resources must be accessed from a computer that is within the WMC network space. All two ITSRA options provide a WMC network address to off-site computers for this purpose. Please visit the ITSRA Eligibility page to learn about requirements and fees for ITSRA services.
There are two ITSRA services each accommodating different needs:
VPN - for users that already have an Internet connection. This method requires that the user
be connected to the Internet via cable/DSL modem or T1/T3 LAN. Access to this service is based on the discretion of the user's departmental administrator & ITS.
WebVPN - for users already connected to the Internet who only need to access WMC web resources
such as those offered by the WMC Library.

NOTE: Due to the varying nature of off-site computer configurations, ITS offers limited technical support for ITSRA services. In most cases technical issues can be resolved either by phone or by e-mail. ITS offers neither on-site nor walk-in support for ITSRA issues regardless of how the account is paid.
