Transportation and Housing
Transportation
A convenient way to travel between campuses is the Cornell Campus-to-Campus Executive Coach Service with online bus reservations available. Alternatively, US Airways offers daily service to connect these two cities. Bus service is also offered by Greyhound and Shortline. For the Shortline bus, during the school year, tickets are sold at the Student Agencies front desk, and the Ithaca Bus Terminal.
The Cornell-Ithaca campus and the medical college campus are pleased to announce the Ithaca/Weill Graduate Student Transit Fund. Both campuses will reimburse faculty for graduate student travel to and from Ithaca and Weill Cornell Medical College on the Campus to Campus bus for collaborative research and grant activities.
To receive funding, sponsoring faculty should send a very brief description of the Ithaca/Weill Cornell research project in advance of any student travel to the following offices. Reimbursement to department accounts will be made before the end of the fiscal year based on a summary of the graduate student trips made on the Campus-to-Campus bus.
Submit requests to:
Ithaca sponsoring faculty should submit requests to the Senior Vice Provost for Research office to the attention of Kelly Strickland, kss1@cornell.edu.
Weill Cornell sponsoring faculty should submit requests to Dr. Caren Heller, Assistant Dean for Intercampus Initiatives, cah2021@med.cornell.edu.
