Intercampus Initiatives between the Ithaca Campus and the Medical College Campus

The field of biomedical science is undergoing rapid transformation with a new focus on interdisciplinary collaborations across many scientific and technical disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, nanobiotechnology, clinical medicine, applied mathematics and computer science. Innovative interdisciplinary partnerships hold dramatic potential for the development of new discoveries and technologies, less-invasive and more-targeted therapies, and advanced medical devices, diagnostics, and imaging. Intercampus research can also include collaborations with disciplines outside of the sciences, including public policy, communication, and others.

Cornell University, including its Ithaca and Medical College Campuses, is committed to supporting these types of intercampus, interdisciplinary collaborations. The Intercampus Initiatives web site is designed to make it easier to find out about intercampus programs, resources, and activities.
