ICR Biostatistics Consultation
Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in partnership with the Institute for Clinical Research
The Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology will provide collaboration for all quantitative aspect of the clinical projects approved by the Institute of Clinical Research.
Dr. Madhu Mazumdar, Chief of the Division of Biostatistical and Epidemiology at Weill Cornell Medical College has considerable experience in biostatistical consulting. She is highly skilled in a broad range of statistical planning, modeling, and analysis tools that are to be utilized for clinical and laboratory studies. She will create an inviting environment providing expedited biostatistical services to investigator-initiated clinical trials. She will guide researchers through planning efficient clinical trials in terms of clear and justified hypotheses, appropriate sample size, and adequate statistical analysis plans. As leader of this partnership effort, Dr. Mazumdar will oversee the statistical integrity of all projects.
Dr. Mazumdar will be assisted by a PhD statistician to aid in the above process in addition to performing related analyses before and after the clinical trial that would result in background data for protocols, preliminary data for grants, and comprehensive data analysis for peer-reviewed publications. He/She will also be responsible for initiating methodological research to assure that clinical trials research is supported by cutting edge methodologies.
The MS statistician will assist the PhD statistician in performing all of the routine analyses, will assist the investigators in choosing database software that suits the purpose of the study, help with setting up the database with identified data elements, and develop predefined codes in accordance to the statistical analysis plan.
