New York City Fire Department Certificate of Fitness for Supervising Chemical Laboratories (C-14) For those who hold an undergraduate degree (no advanced degrees) and less than 5 years of work experience you must report to the Bureau of Fire Prevention to sit for their exam. This test is administered by the New York City Fire Department, 9 Metrotech Center in Brooklyn, Monday through Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm. You must have:
Attached are study materials based on Fire Prevention Directive 3RCNY 10-01, the regulation which governs laboratory requirements. These study materials are drawn from C of F tests that were given in the past. Have all the documentation with you when you go to take this test:

Exams are Monday - Friday (except legal holidays) 9:00am - 2:30pm. Bring two #2 pencils, a pen, and the above-listed information. If you have any questions regarding this test, you contact Environmental Health and Safety. Monthly classes are scheduled to prepare for the FDNY exam.
