Cabaret 2003 a Fabulous, FUNdraising Affair

On Oct. 27, more than 850 guests braved heavy rain and gathered at the majestic Cathedral of St. John the Divine for Cabaret 2003, NewYork Weill Cornell's annual benefit. The event, co-chaired by Weill Medical College Overseer Sanford Ehrenkranz and his wife, Lisa, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Trustee Charles Koppelman and his wife, Bunny, raised more than $2,285,000, to be shared evenly between the Hospital and the Medical College. The successful Cabaret Journal was co-chaired once again by Dr. Patricia Allen, her husband Douglas McIntyre, and Catherine Wood.

Messrs. Ehrenkranz and Koppelman welcomed physicians, staff and friends of the Medical Center and updated them on recent institutional developments. This was followed by dinner and performances on three stages by the world-renowned modern dance troupe, Pilobolus. Afterward, guests enjoyed dancing to the music of the Starlight Orchestra.

Dr. Antonio Gotto, dean of the Medical College, his wife, Anita, and Dr. Herbert Pardes, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, attended this annual event, which benefits the partnership of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College. Funds raised at Cabaret are used to ensure that the Medical Center continues its distinguished record of providing the highest quality patient care, medical education and research.
