KL2 Post-Doctoral Scholars Award

• Up to $80,000 per year
• Up to 2 Years

TL1 Training Award Program for Pre and Post-doctorates aims to:

• Expose students to Clinical and Translational research before their interests and paths are set and enabling them to move into Clinical and Translational research early on in their careers.
• Provide 100% protected time to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation.

The program is a 2-year training experience in:

• Developing a research project in the context of the mentors' larger ongoing funded study. This includes developing a hypothesis and study design, and learning appropriate techniques to address challenges related to the project.
• Submitting a written manuscript/review article suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
• Delivering a year-end presentation to peers and faculty.

KL2 Post-doctoral Scholars Award Program's main objective is to:

• Provide junior faculty and senior fellows with 75% (50% for surgeons) protected time to pursue Clinical and Translational research and earn a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation.
