While it has been documented that more and more people are using alternative approaches to treat serious health problems, such treatment is often implemented outside of professional medical care, with the result that evidence of effectiveness is often anecdotal. The Weill Cornell Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine, however, will introduce the results of clinical and basic research to provide the latest, best-documented treatment programs in complementary medicine. In the end, this kind of synergy between medical practice and scientific research will help the Center provide patients with the best care, while building an exceptional multi-specialty clinical practice in complementary and integrative medicine.
