ITS: myHelpDesk

MyHelpDesk is your on-line access to ITS's helpdesk system. MyHelpDesk enables you to:

Submit cases directly to ITS anytime/anywhere assuming you have browser access to the Internet.
Check on any cases submitted by you or for you.
Check on the case history of all cases submitted by you or for you.
Avoid waiting on the phone or leaving a voice mail message.

Access myHelpDesk in one of two ways:

To access the fully interactive version of myHelpDesk you will need a valid center wide ID (CWID) and an ITS tag number. In addition, you will need to be connected via a WMC network connection or an ITSRA VPN connection.

Your CWID is the first part of your e-mail address. For example, if your e-mail address is abc2001@med.cornell.edu, then your CWID is abc2001. Your password is the same password you use for your e-mail.

Your ITS tag number is on a sticker located on the front of your computer. For example, if your sticker reads ITS123456, then your tag number is 123456.

Once you log in using your CWID, you will be presented with a screen that prompts you for your ITS tag number.

If you don't have a CWID or an ITS tag number, you can still create cases using myHelpDesk. This method will not allow you to track your case on the web. You can however make subsequent additions to the case by using the links provided in the automated e-mails.
